Aaah, to be home again, but those memories of the Tour are front and center. Julie and I continue to share stories and jointly look over the photos. The Tour was almost non-stop, but we did manage to steal some quiet moments to sit and enjoy sights and sounds. Our stay at the Island View Inn in Camden was sublime, we enjoyed a glass of wine on the Colony Hotel's porch, we had a super dinner at Paddy's Irish Pub in Bar Harbor the last night of our stay. We were all lucky, rain stayed away just about all the days during the week of the Tour. We ran into rain on Monday, the second day of our return trip home in Henrietta, but I love Rainex and the wetness was no bother regardless.
We will be looking to tour again, maybe a Convention coming up, what great people Model A Ford folk are.
Hope to see you on the road in your "A" someday ....
Jim and Julie's Lobsters and Lighthouses Tour Report
The Model A Ford Club of America (MAFCA .. http://www.mafca.com/) is sponsoring another national tour; this year it's along the Maine Coast from Kennebunkport to Bar Harbor from Sunday June 7 through Friday June 12, 2015. The Tour is hosted by the Maine Model A Ford Club (http://www.mainemodelafordclub.com/). My guess is that over 200 Model As and their drivers/passengers will be participating; some participants are from CA, TX, CO, SC, and surely from all over the northeast U.S. Ahooga!

Homeward Bound
Stayed an extra day with Don, LaLomias and Archers did too, but they trailered their A's and we drove antique toward home today. Now an overnight in Concord, NH at a Best Western. Late start out of Bar Harbor this Sunday morning, ice cream and coffee and gas stops along the way, no flea market stops for Don! Nice lunch in Belfast, ME, but took an hour.
Okay. Cadillac Mountain is .. Spectacular. Photos tell a frozen part of the scene and sensory impact, ya gotta go to feel the wondrous impact of each moment. We had a super clear day ...
Home late tomorrow with rain forecast for driving pleasure, no matter, great Model A vacation for memories.....

Henrietta Snuggles into Bar Harbor!
Breakfast with Don in Camden, ME @ Mariner's, a small cafe with a view of the harbor and a stream running below our table and deck. Very pleasant.
Off we went at 11 after some shopping and after Don replaced a burned out tailight bulb. We stopped at noon at the magnificent Penobscot Narrows Bridge with its #1 or #2 tallest bridge observation tower in the world, and Fort Knox on the same grounds. What a treat this was! Views from the tower were panoramically perfect!
2 hours later we departed and headed for the last stop, Bar Harbor, arrived ~4 pm and marveled at yet another splendid view of the Atlantic and nearby islands. Tomorrow we enjoy the sights and fragrances of Mt Desert Island.
Gave Henrietta a good night kiss ....

Fort Knox .. Construction started 1844, never fully finished, not used or occupied much! No enemy ships ever appeared. White elephant? Neat fort nevertheless.
