Aaah, to be home again, but those memories of the Tour are front and center. Julie and I continue to share stories and jointly look over the photos. The Tour was almost non-stop, but we did manage to steal some quiet moments to sit and enjoy sights and sounds. Our stay at the Island View Inn in Camden was sublime, we enjoyed a glass of wine on the Colony Hotel's porch, we had a super dinner at Paddy's Irish Pub in Bar Harbor the last night of our stay. We were all lucky, rain stayed away just about all the days during the week of the Tour. We ran into rain on Monday, the second day of our return trip home in Henrietta, but I love Rainex and the wetness was no bother regardless.
We will be looking to tour again, maybe a Convention coming up, what great people Model A Ford folk are.
Hope to see you on the road in your "A" someday ....
The Model A Ford Club of America (MAFCA .. http://www.mafca.com/) is sponsoring another national tour; this year it's along the Maine Coast from Kennebunkport to Bar Harbor from Sunday June 7 through Friday June 12, 2015. The Tour is hosted by the Maine Model A Ford Club (http://www.mainemodelafordclub.com/). My guess is that over 200 Model As and their drivers/passengers will be participating; some participants are from CA, TX, CO, SC, and surely from all over the northeast U.S. Ahooga!
Looks like the two of you had a fine time! If you get to Rhode Island you have a place to stay, and park. It is a beautiful state especially in the summer months. Newport has a wonderful car museum you would enjoy and the drive along the shore is spectacular.
