Jim and Julie's Lobsters and Lighthouses Tour Report

The Model A Ford Club of America (MAFCA .. http://www.mafca.com/) is sponsoring another national tour; this year it's along the Maine Coast from Kennebunkport to Bar Harbor from Sunday June 7 through Friday June 12, 2015. The Tour is hosted by the Maine Model A Ford Club (http://www.mainemodelafordclub.com/). My guess is that over 200 Model As and their drivers/passengers will be participating; some participants are from CA, TX, CO, SC, and surely from all over the northeast U.S. Ahooga!

Day One Ends in Vermont!

Wow. Great day in the "A." 245 miles, add 35 more for Don. Arrived in Brattleboro, VT @ 5:35pm tired but very happy. Stopped several times for gas after lunch, visited Hemmings Motor News right on VT 9 in Bennington, VT, perfect place to stop and walk around. Headed to Brattleboro through the mountains, windy steep road, amazing forests and roadside river with sand colored rocks. Then a dozen or so miles from Brattleboro pulled into an overlook at Hogback Mountain and enjoyed the bird's eye 100 mile view toward New Hampshire. Absolutely spectacular. Both A's ran well, no problems. Checked into the Quality Inn and immediately attracted admirers of our two Model As. Fun to share our drive, destination, and details about the vehicles with the curious. Julie and I had dinner at "99" just a couple hundred yards from the motel. Will meet Don for breakfast at 8:30am and then off for .. Kennebunkport, Maine!
